Uncorked Wine & Tapas is located in Manhattan’s Upper East Side (344 East 59th. Street to be exact), an area not necessarily known for it’s youth and vitality. But when asked to revitalize the look and feel of the local staple, that’s exactly the type of energy I wanted to convey in its new identity. Rather than playing ill-fitting sports events (given the type of venue it is) on their two HD televisions, these more fitting images are displayed in slide show format throughout the operating hours of the Bar/Restaurant. This imagery was also used in newsletter blasts, actual 3×5 cards that were handed out to people walking outside, local newspaper ads, and online. Using a mix of classic New York Art Deco imagery and typography, Americana, urban graffiti, and clean modern shapes and lines; we were able to instill an energy very unique to the neighborhood. The new Uncorked is definitely a spot to see and be seen.
